Amy happens to be the first child of her parents. She has four siblings who were born after her. Her siblings are all girls who have been identified as Jessica, Emily, Cami, and Lindsey Freeze. Amy Freeze started her career by working for WCAU, an NBC owned-and-operated television station in Philadelphia. At the TV station, she served as a meteorologist who intrigued fans with her sound knowledge of the weather. She was also the co-host of a live entertainment show called 10! at the station. According to sources, during this time, Amy also worked as a substitute for NBC’s Weekend Today and MSNBC at the Rockefeller Center in New York City. Apparently, she is not only grounded in forecasting the weather.

Already gaining loads of experience and getting better on the job, Amy Freeze went on to work at both KWGN and KMGH in the city of Denver, Colorado. Shortly afterward, she fuelled her broadcasting career when she landed a job at KPTV, a Fox-affiliated television station in Portland, Oregon. There, she worked on the Good Day Oregon show.

Amy soon joined WFLD, a Fox owned-and-operated television station in Chicago where she made a record as the first female Chief Meteorologist. She held the job from 2007 to 2011 and at this time, she had become so grounded in meteorology and was widely respected for that.

While in Chicago, Amy won the admiration of many people after she started paying a visit to more than 10,000 students every year to give them weather presentations on tornadoes and other forms of severe weather conditions. Amy also hosted the first-ever Weather Education Days for some Major League Baseball clubs, including the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Cubs.

After dating for a while, Amy and Gary tied the knot in August 1994. The marriage produced four children, including three boys identified as Tyler, Jared, and Williams, and one beautiful girl called Kate.
