Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is an American romantic science-fiction comedy-drama that was released in 2004. In the movie, Carrey played the role of Joel Barish, a shy and introverted man who is in love with an extroverted woman called Clementine Kruczynski (played by Kate Winslet). After a fight, Carrey’s character decided to erase all memories of his lover from his mind when he found out she has done the same about him.

However, after erasing their memories from each other’s minds, they met on a train and began a new relationship unaware that they had been together before. But what started out sweetly between them was threatened yet again when the realization that they had dated before eventually began to dawn on them.

The movie has since gained a cult following and is renowned around the world for being one of the most fabulously imaginative romance movies made by Hollywood.

The Number 23

The Number 23 is an American thriller film which was released in 2007. The movie starred Jim Carrey playing the role of Walter Sparrow, an animal control officer who is married to a woman called Agatha. One day, his wife gifts him a book titled The Number 23. When he started reading the book, Walter Sparrow began to notice some really strange similarities between the main character in the story and himself. He became scared when he read that the main character killed his girlfriend in the book. This led him to start digging about the life of the author.

To his biggest shock, Walter eventually discovered that he was, in fact, the main character in the story and that he was even the author of the book who had killed his girlfriend in the past before having amnesia and forgetting everything. He was consequently arrested after trying to commit suicide.

Dark Crimes

Dark Crimes, a detective drama film, was released in 2016. Fans were excited to see Jim Carrey rock a full beard in the movie. Carrey played the role of Tadek, a detective who took on a murder case that no one else will touch. As he starts his investigation, he soon discovers that the case he is working on is very identical to the murder of a character in a recently published novel. This leads to an even darker secret that rattles him.

The Majestic

The Majestic is a 2001 American romantic period drama film set in the 1950s. The story features Jim Carrey playing the role of Peter Appleton, an up and coming young screenwriter in Hollywood whose whole world comes crashing down when he gets accused of being a communist. In the ensuing drama, he suffers an accident and loses his memory before being found and taken to a nearby town where he is mistaken for a war hero and was treated like one. However, he is soon found to be pretending and another drama ensues.

However, he soon gets to know that his whole life is a lie that has been constructed by TV executives for ratings. This realization gets him into serious trouble with all the people involved with The Truman Show.
